It's the warmest jacket I've ever owned. I wore it during the recent cold snap when temperatures were below 0 degrees and I was still warm wearing just a t-shirt underneath. It's also tough. My very large Golden Retriever has not torn it yet. It seems to be totally waterproof. I have not become wet in any downpours. The hood is adjustable which is good for me. The collar is soft and comfortable and not too tight. It's a lot less bulky than a down jacket and seems twice as warm. You just have to bite the bullet and decide to switch from down. I wore nothing but down before trying this Omnitech jacket. Now I would not switch back.
