I absolutely LOVE ECCO boots (I own 2 pairs), so when I saw these boots on Amazon in my size, I just had to order it.I was so excited to receive them, but the excitement quickly turned into sadness when I took the boots out of the box as the calf on the boots looked huge. Hoping that they just "looked" huge, I tried them on. No luck... the calves ARE HUGE, and I have normal calves/not chicken legs. We're talking close to 2" too big in each boot!In reading some of the reviews, it said that the boots ran small. Well, they definitely do not run small. The foot size runs normal to big (plenty of toe space) and the calf area... well, they're HUGE. You can "adjust" the strap, but it's not like a belt, so the calf part of the boots will get scrunched and the sleekness/integrity of the design will be compromised.The leather is of good quality, as ECCO makes good quality boots, and the style is very nice, but it would be best for ladies with calves on the bigger/wider side than normal size. Sad to say that I'm returning the boots, that's why only 3 stars.This is a beautiful boot, quality leather, nice style, comfortable, forms nicely to my foot. The only reason I did not keep them, is because the espresso I ordered is not as rich looking in person as it is online. It was too drab and muddy for my liking. I would like to stress that it is only the color that I disliked. The boot is great, the service and delivery and return process were great. I have size 10 feet that are a little on the wide side, but these were very comfortable for me. I have a 14" calf and had plenty of room in these to tuck in jeans. I am 5'9" and the boot hit below the crease in the back of my knees, no problem with discomfort. I think the ankle area might have gapped after a couple of wearings but, for the price, this is a really nice boot. I just didn't like the color.I like these so much I got them in both brown and black. I'm also thinking about getting them in the brushed grey color. My only complaint is that the calves are tight - but seem to be loosening up as I wear them. (I confess I have very beefy calves, 17", so these will probably be TOO big for petite people.)The footbed is AWESOME. I wore these to a conference in Vegas where I was walking 5+ miles a day. The arch support and "squishiness" of the footbed had me going strong while my colleagues complained about sore feet.I absolutely love these boots! I originally bought them at Nordstrom, but looked them up on Amazon when I got home and found out they were WAY cheaper. Needless to say, I returned them to Nordstrom and bought here! It was really hard to wait for delivery, though! These boots are the most beautiful thing I own, and I get lots of compliments on them. The gray color is beautiful, and the leather is buttery soft. These are also the most comfortable boots I own...the footbed is soft and squishy, and they don't hurt my feet like other boots and shoes. Also, they don't stain easily...luckily. Someone spilled beer all over mine right after I got them, and after it dried I couldn't even tell. Whew...crisis averted! Anyway, love, love, love these boots!I love this boots. The first couple of days I got a couple of blister on my hill but I was expecting it since I walk a lot with my job. I love them. They are good quality and look really nice. I am happy with them. My calfs are middle to large so it fits perfectly because I can still put my pants inside them. If you have small calfs they may not fit you well.These are very nice boots, the leather is soft and nice looking. Very good looking. They are adjustable in the calf muscle which fits me well, as I have a medium size,14.5, calf. The boots are very narrow in the foot and do not fit my foot which is wide. I would not be able to keep them on without pain so I will return them sadly.So glad I found these on Amazon during the 25% off sale. The are so pretty. Arrived very quickly and got a great price. Fit as expected. I wear tights and a pair of socks and they are very comfy. I laugh about a comment I read where another person felt like a german paratrooper.... I feel very chic and comfy with my newboots on!Comparing with my previous ECCO boots that I have purchased, these are slightly wider at the calf. So if you have a skinny calf, from the side, the boots may appear bigger than they need to be. But the boots are comfortable and I like them so I am keeping them.
